Gas Line

Gas line is used to run CO2 from the CO2 tank to the beer keg. You will also see it called CO2 line or air line.

No matter what you call it, there's not much to selecting the right hose.

You can choose from clear, braided, or colored air line.

I used braided line in my kegerator but I'm not real happy with it. Braided line is stiff and difficult to work with. I would recommend using either clear or colored air line. The colored line makes it easy to identify compared to beer line.

The most common size is 5/16" I.D. hose. The length is not important; you just need enough to make the connections. Typically 5 to 6 feet of CO2 line will be enough for a kegerator system.

One last thing is to make sure that you buy actual gas line. It needs to withstand the pressures that are used in a beer dispensing system. Don't use tubing unless it is designed for the right pressures.

That's it. Like I said there's not much to choosing the right air line.
